Aussie Surf 9
From Thursday 2 September 2010, swimmers registered for Aussie Surf 9 can attend Tuesday & Thursday gym sessions.

Arena Race Session #2 – 6th August 2010
Because of the technical problems we experienced with the printer on Friday night, the results of the race session will only be ratified towards the end of this week.
Official results will be posted on this website and submitted to Swimming WA early next week.
National Fundraiser
The National Squad have commenced their fundraising programme, in an effort to raise funds for the National Open Championships and National Age Championships that will be held in Brisbane and Adelaide respectively in March and April 2011. Jolly Goat Coffee will donate funds to the club for every bag of coffee, tea or hot chocolate purchased from the fundraiser. Ongoing funding is also possible. All national squad members have been provided with fundraising forms and are expected to embrace the fundraiser. Please assist the swimmers where possible.
Membership Renewal 2010-2011
1st July 2010 is fast approaching. Club membership renewals are due by 30 June 2010 to enable swimmers to participate in any meets after 1st July 2010, including the ASC Friday night race session.
Payment can be made directly to the ASC bank account (details on the membership renewal form), by cheque or cash. We are hoping to have EFTPOS available in due course.
The club membership renewal form and the Volunteer Agreement together with proof of payment/cheque/cash can be placed in the entry box . Do not hand it in at reception.
The monthly fee and direct debit form that was handed out by the coaches, must be handed in at the Arena Reception desk and the July fees need to be paid in advance by 1st July 2010.

Volunteer Agreement
In order to ensure that volunteer duties for our Friday night Race Sessions and those allocated to Arena Swim Club by Swimming WA and other meet hosting clubs are fulfilled, it has become necessary to institute a Volunteer agreement in line with the 2010/2011 Membership Renewal/enrollment process.
The signed Agreement has to be returned together with the Membership Enrollment form and annual payment.
Failure to return the signed Volunteer agreement will result in your 2010/2011 Membership Renewal not been processed.

Hana’s Safari – Ice Skating Fury
Arena SC members had a great day at the Perth Ice Arena last Thursday. There were a lot of wet, cold and sore skaters who traded the relative warmth of the swimming pool for the ice cold hardness of the skate rink. the ‘most notable’ fall was awarded to Hana, who’s individual face plant onto the ice was judged a 9/10 by even the most conservative on-lookers. Jaime Roberts also comment on the heavy sleet storms that she had to endure at various times during the safari.
Blisters all round to those who forgot to pack extra socks – we are all look forward to the next exciting Safari.
