A large group of Arena swimmers arrived in Rockingham at 7.30am on Sunday morning, set up camp at the north end of the pool then demonstrated their swimming skills throughout the day. Medals and pb’s were the order of the day and the kids delivered. Special mention to all the juniors who achieved so many points for the club. Arena took second place last year but could not be beaten this year, taking Top Club and a cheque for $500. Many thanks to all the faithful timekeepers who also made it possible. GO ARENA!!! We are ready for the Premierships on Friday!
Swimmers in the AST program are more than welcome to swim within the competitive stream of the program in the morning sessions.
There are just 2 things the competitive coach’s require and that is the AST swimmer can keep up and offer a positive influence on the team they train with.
We have Tuesday and Thursday morning sessions set up to provide lower intensity training purely for AST swimmers as they transition towards the competitive team training sessions if swimmers find they cannot keep up.
Regards
Rod Bonsack, Head Coach
Swimmers please note.
When attending training it is your responsibility to be correctly attired in order to swim and train correctly. Being ready to commence training on time is paramount – the coaching staff do not wish to see swimmers dawdling in and sitting on a swim block in your clothes waiting for the coach before you change. Use your intuition, be positive – get the cage key, fill your drink bottle and be ready to go on time.
Any queries please see the coaches – remember you are not little kids but young adults
