Hi all,
Below is some info on a product that is very easy for young ones to get nowadays and with the peer pressures of body dynamics upon teenagers it’s always good to go over the basics of nutrition and the short cuts some think will make the difference.
Carey and I have quite a knowledge on these products and part of our coaching studies centre’s on the nutritional nuances of many supplements that are available. If parents have any questions regarding what’s best for their child please see us. There’s a lot of gear out there, some very good, some not so and some just a plain waste of money.
Anyway, have a read below and if you have thought of using caffeine as a tool you may want to think again. Be wary of what you put in your body and never take anything offered by someone unless you absolutely know understands the product. Soar like an eagle, leave the galahs to scratch on the dirt.
Cheers Rod & Carey,
Caffeine pills are an extremely popular choice for those wanting to lose weight or boost their energy. Since the level of success is high, caffeine pills are the top dietary supplement on the market today. However, like any other dietary supplement, there are potentially dangerous side effects.
Recommended Intake
Caffeine has no nutritional value and therefore isn’t essential to the human body. There aren’t any government recommendations on caffeine intake. Without a standard level of intake, overdosing has become quite common, thus leading to dangerous health risks.
Addiction
Caffeine addiction is quite common among those taking caffeine pills. The body can become increasingly dependent on the higher dosages of caffeine needed to perform at a desired level. It can be extremely difficult to decrease caffeine intake or even stop the consumption of caffeine. Terrible cravings and muscle twitching are common symptoms of withdrawal.
Anxiety
The feeling of anxiety is due to an increase of breathing and heart rate from the consumption of caffeine. Higher levels of anxiety can lead to panic attacks, breathing difficulties and blackouts.
Sleeplessness
Caffeine is also a popular choice in fighting tiredness or fatigue. Too much caffeine can lead to a deprivation of sleep which has serious adverse effects on the body like headaches and muscle soreness to more serious effects like hallucinations and memory loss.
Stomach Discomfort
Caffeine consumption can lead to a variety of stomach discomforts. Some of the more common stomach discomforts are nausea and diarrhea.
Irritability
Irritability is a state of unpleasantness and frustration stemming from the stimulation that caffeine causes. It can lead to a higher level of difficulty in handling simple tasks.
Warning
Each person has a different level of sensitivity to caffeine which can cause severe reactions. Also, certain medications have adverse effects to caffeine. Consult a physician before taking caffeine pills.
