Time Keeping Responsibilities – Reminder

Time Keeping is a compulsory requirement of club membership( see general policy on Time  Keeping).

Without this obligation, the club cannot host race sessons or expect to participate in other clubs meets. Everyone who has a child swimming at any event must expect to be allocated a volunteer role. Remember that there are at least 24 other volunteers filling time keeping roles whilst your child is swimming and you are watching from the stands.

A lot of planning is put into each meet’s volunteer roster, including consideration of where in the program your child is swimming. The roster is drawn up with the express aim of avoiding you staying at the meet for longer than required and to share the work load equally across all families. On average, each family will be required to time keep or fill some other voluntary role on 2 out of 3 occasions.

If you are unable to time keep, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place.

Regrettably, repeated failure to meet your volunteer obligations may result in your child not being able to enter swim meets.
