Hi all,
Well I think we all know that Michael is off to SWA in a exciting position for his future.
He has been a very positive influence over the national program and indeed all the swim teams have benefitted from his energy and determination to succeed. Well done young man, it’s been a great journey and I have many stories to tell of your time on the pool deck at Arena from a junior to national open ranked swimmer in 2008.
Below are the results we have as a national development club at JX level, and it shows that with patience and hard work, we can keep the ship moving in the right direction towards success.
JX = 76 athletes
21 x 9 year olds
21 x 10 year olds
7 x 11 year olds
19 x 12 year olds
8 x 13 year olds
7 Green
15 Bronze
23 Silver
22 Gold
9 Gold
YPS = 23 athletes
2 x 13 year olds
5 x 14 year olds
6 x 15 year olds
6 x 16 year olds
1 x 17 year olds
3 x 18 year olds
5 x Blue
6 x Bronze
8 x Silver
4 x Gold
When it comes to the YPS age groups, the effort that Michael, Carey, Warren and swimmers from the National performance program have given, is clear to see in the past 3 premiership wins and increasing numbers on the national qualifying banners.
Moving forward, I am now looking for swimmers who want to be committed to pushing the swim club into the top national age group rankings and a swimmer WINNING GOLD this season at national level.
I will be taking over as primary coach of the national performance team from the 23/7 and I am going to do what I know and that is to coach swimmers to win.
I am in this for success and I expect those I coach to be prepared to do the work required to gain the results they are after.
I’ve told you mine, now you tell me yours by the 23/7. Swimmers will need to provide their seasonal performance and training goals by the 23/7.
I am only interested in improving big time and WINNING is important to me.
To all and sundry; my ears are open for anyone who wants their questions answered. Just call on 0435 961 798.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday 17/7 at 6pm in the Winners room for all interested parents of swimmers in the National Performance Age / Open Teams. This meeting is a questions and answers forum.
Kind regards
Rod Bonsack
Head Coach
