Calling swimmers in our Junior, Inters, Flippa Ball and Surfit Squads – Keen to RACE?

If your swimmer ;

  • has not achieved “AA Times ” in a particular stroke (ie..they either have no time or their times are SLOWER than shown on the chart) and,
  • is keen to have a go at competition outside of “Top Gun”

It’s worth having a look at the SunSmart “Dive and Try” swim meets – aiming to give keen swimmers a chance to compete in a supportive, controlled environment without all the rules of higher level competition.

Swimmers don’t need to be registered as a competitive member of Swimming WA, but those who are registered can still compete – as long as they meet the criteria above.

You can read about these fun meets here;

http://wa.swimming.org.au/sunsmart-dive-and-try.html

The site contains the schedule of meets planned to May 2014 and which clubs are hosting Dive and Try Meets. Your swimmer can only compete in ONE meet, so choose carefully. Entries need to be sent directly to the host club where you want to compete.

At the conclusion of all meets, the best performing 8 swimmers (+ 2 reserves) in each event will be invited to compete in the Dive and Try “Finals”.

It’s a LOT of fun!

If you have any questions at all, please contact Club Secretary Clare Masolin secretary@arenaswimclub.com.au

GO FOR IT !! 🙂
